Timing belts

Polyurethane  timing  belts  are  used  across  a  very  wide  range  of  applications  for  the  transmission  of  synchronous  rotary  motion  in  power transmission systems, servo and motion controls, con-veyors  and  transfer  lines.  They  operate  in  a  rotational  speed range of up to 20,000 rpm.

Pulley tooth design versions available

Selecting a special pulley tooth gap can increase the accuracy of the timing belt system by decreasing or eliminating  “play” between the timing belt and the pulley. Linear drives and systems requiring precise positioning and high repeatability or fast settling times can benefit from reduced “play”.  The illustrations show the meshing of the timing belt with the tooth gap designs available for metric pitches. For drive designs using “SE” or “0” – tooth gap pulleys.

Torsionally Rigid Disc Couplings

Our flexible Torsionally Rigid Disc Couplings can compensate for angular, axial, and radial misalignments while transmitting torque backlash-free between driver and driven components. They operate without wear or maintenance, never need lubrication, and, due to their all-metal construction, are insensitive even to very high temperatures. Rigid Disc couplings are pre-engineered to be connected to the shaft with variable RINGFEDER keyless locking devices.

Universal/Lateral Offset Coupling

The Universal/Lateral Offset Coupling combines the sliding mechanism of the Oldham and the pivotal action of the universal joint to combat angular and radial misalignment. A series of integral pins engage a pair of injection moulded annular rings with controlled preload to eliminate backlash. The Uni-Lat has a generous angular and radial misalignment capacity and is electrically isolating. Applications are usually general purpose, light duty stepper (half and full step) encoder, resolver and tachogenerator drives and light push/ pull duties.
